Our mission is to Glorify God and serve Him and only Him forever. We are committed to building disciples, building families and building our communities the way God intended. Genesis is committed to studying the Word of God, understanding the Word of God and striving to live the Word of God so that God’s people can experience the fullness of the Holy Spirit, as we learn to love and obey Jesus.

We pray this church is a place you can discover and or strengthen your Family, Faith and most of all your relationship with Jesus Christ. In our 17 years of existence, we’ve never been more urgent about God’s presence, God’s plan and God’s promise for His Church.

Joe S. Evans
Lead Pastor
Pastor Joe and Gloria are the Lead Pastors at Genesis Christian Fellowship Church. Pastor Joe has been serving in ministry for nearly three decades and serving as a Pastor for two decades. His journey began right here in Hampton Roads VA over 30 years ago where his life was radically transformed by the power of God. Joe and Gloria have been married for 49 years and have served together most of their lives. Together they have two children JoNika and Joe II and 5 grandchildren.
Their vision is to empower ordinary people to do extraordinary things for God and one another through the power of the Holy Spirit. His goals for the church are (1) to restore families and relationships (2) to foster the gifts in all people (3) to evangelize and reach the lost (4) to develop and train disciples to navigate life (5) to grow people in all areas of holiness and faith (6) to operate in the continual development of Church, family, community and the world. And most of all to elevate the level of God’s praise.
The scripture that has inspired Pastor Evans through the years is John 15:16:
"Ye have not chosen me, but I have chosen you, and ordained you, that ye should go and bring forth fruit, and that your fruit shall remain: that “whatever ye shall ask of the Father in my name, he may give it to you. His greatest desire is that all men would come to the revelation knowledge of Jesus Christ and the gift of life that he has given to us all.""
